- Prepare the Fritters:
- In a large bowl, mix the shredded cabbage and chopped onion. Add salt and let it sit for about 10 minutes to release some moisture.
- Squeeze out excess moisture from the cabbage mixture and add flour, egg, baking powder, and pepper. Mix well until you get a thick batter.
- Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the pan, flattening them slightly with the back of the spoon.
- Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove from the pan and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Make the Yogurt Sauce:
- In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well.
- Adjust seasoning to taste and stir in chopped fresh herbs.
- Serve:
- Serve the hot cabbage fritters with the yogurt sauce on the side for dipping.
